Punkbuster is seriously being a little bitch. I had a "PnkBstrB.exe handshaking failed" problem before, but I managed to replace that problem with thisone. I can't play a single round in BF2 because I get kicked all the time.
Punkbuster kicked player 'Scopestyle' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe heartbeats stopped
Added Screenshot I'm on Windows 7, has anyone else experienced this problem .. or has a possible solution to this problem? The Fix! (See below) - Go to Start, Configuration, System, Services. - Rightclick on PnkBstrA, Select properties. - On the "Login" tab, check 'Allow service to interact with desktop'. - Do the same thing for PnkBstrB.

The fix that actually worked! - Start BF2 - Alt + Tab and go to the directory c:\windows\system32 and delete this file: "PnkBstrB.exe" - Reboot BF2, Punkbuster will then download a "new" PnkBstrB.exe and the problem goes away.

Hmm .. Just set the compatibility to Vista, disabled Windows Defender and started the game in Administrator mode. Was able to play a round in a different server .. hopefully that fixed it.

Yeah, BF2 wasn't exactly made for Windows 7 it seems. Nice job on solving the problem and also posting it here

Reinstalled Punbuster today and was able to play in a server, so the problem could be server related .. The game did crash after a while, but that happened before on XP as well.

This may have fixed the "PnkBstrB.exe Heartbeats Stopped" problem I've been having, I went to services and checked 'Allow service to interact with desktop' on the PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe. Played in a few different servers and didn't get kicked out of BF2!
